GPMN delegates now have the opportunity to ratify the delegate apportion formula for the National Convention in Chicago. Prop 336 is for ratification of Prop 332, in which a proposal from the Green Party of Virginia (GPVA) was chosen via an Instant Runoff Voting vote. In order to meet a 2/3 threshold, the GPVA proposal must now pass a second time on an up-or-down vote. Strange, I know.
If this goes through, the number of delegates for Minnesota will be set at 12. The California delegation will have 168 delegates, or just over 20% of the vote. Despite this disparity, I am inclined to support this proposal for reasons stated earlier.
This will be the first vote for your new GPUS team.

I was wondering if any new delegates would vote before our meeting on the 18th.
It looks like it. I'll have to work out with Michael which one of us is voting.

The new delegates and alternates should all be eligible voters now. I logged in yesterday and am all set. My understanding is that this vote will be conducted by Bill, Heidi and Farheen, unless one of them can't vote and needs their alternate to step up.
well it looks like Mike has voted and contrary to how I would vote at that.
I share David Strand's position that the GPVA is good enough for now and we need to wait till after the election cycle to resolve this.
I don't feel strongly enough to arm-wrestle Mike over it, though.
Please understand, my dear new delegates, that since becoming a delegate/alternate, this dilemma of voting to move things forward rather than holding out for the perfect wording has been a constant!

I am compelled to update you on Sharing the current vote with Michael.
My plan is to keep an eye on current results and plead for a change from abstain to voting yes if it is needed to pass 336.
Why not plead now?

Hey guys, just some input, as David Strand requested we weigh in: I think that we should pass this because we need some delegate apportionment asap. I agree with most of David's opinions: This isn't great, but we need something now, and it isn't terrible either.
